Tony Hawk’s first retail store was designed to bring his passion for skateboarding and fashion to a broader audience. The concept was inspired by the "Ollie," the fundamental trick in skateboarding where the rider leaps onto, over, or off an obstacle. This idea is reflected in the storefront signage, where the skateboard seems to leap, creating an opening into the store, inviting you in.
This prototype store was designed with every detail in mind, from the walls and t-shirt fixtures to the PlayStation lounge. The space captured the essence of skate culture while offering an immersive retail experience.

The design incorporated high-quality materials and modern construction techniques, ensuring a seamless blend with the affluent area of Polanco. The result is a space that feels both contemporary and rooted in the local context, reflecting Adidas’ global brand while celebrating Mexico’s unique design heritage.

To introduce their high-end Japanese winter clothing brand to North America, Descente shifted focus to street and athleisure wear, aiming to create an iconic retail experience that reflected their distinctive aesthetic. Inspired by the concept of the diagonal or "bias," we designed a storefront with a bold slash—a dynamic cut into the space—that visually unfolded the interior and invited customers in.
We recommended Venice's trendy Abbot Kinney Boulevard as the ideal location for their flagship store, perfectly complementing the brand’s stylish identity and appealing to a fashion-forward audience.
